| Nouvelle
Vague Live in Paris, 2005 Four very talented young French chanteuses with lots of energy have re-styled the hits of new wave and post-punk 1980's into breathy pop songs with new life. The band's name, Nouvelle Vague, means both New Wave and Bossa Nova. So with the acoustic musicians grooving in the background, the singers slink onto stage one or two at a time, in a parade like a fashion show, and steal the hearts of everyone in the packed nightclub. Here is a slideshow from their last performance in Paris before embarking on a world tour. Please give the Quicktime movie a minute or two to load. The soundtrack can be found on their debut album. This song is originally from the Dead Kennedys. Cheers! Jim Casper |
