London’s international photography fair, Photo-London, promises a new concept this year: only "contemporary" photography — defined here as “since 1970” — will be shown. So, hopefully, we’ll get to see some of the most important photography made in the past 37 years.

The show promises to highlight not only work from established masters and/or art-world celebrities, but also many emerging talents from 34 countries on every continent. That should be a real treat if they pull it off.

Here are 30 photos we selected from the preview offerings. We’ll share the discoveries of note after the show.
