Advice on submitting
When submitting your series of images, edit your selections carefully, since your submission will be judged on the strength of the group of photographs as a whole.
Be sure to include copyright and caption information, as well as a brief statement to go with your images – this can include biographical information, artistic intent, or anything that you think will help us appreciate your work.
You can upload 5 to 10 JPEGs from one single series of work. For good image quality and fast upload, your image files should be less than 2 MB each, and sized around 1024 x 768 pixels @ 72 ppi.
Our online portal offers additional instruction for submitting work.

Why do I have to pay to submit my work for consideration?
We are always looking for innovative new work to feature in Lens Culture.
But the volume of unsolicited submissions we receive every week is staggering, and they come in all shapes and sizes: emails with loads of attachments, links to websites, PDFs, cards in the mail, press releases, etc. – and it’s impossible for us to keep up with all of them.
So, we’ve established this easy, consistent way for people to send submissions to us, including all of the relevant details in one place and one format. This method will ensure that we can review every submission in a timely manner, and add the best submissions to our editorial calendar to include them in future issues.
The nominal fee ($35) helps to offset the cost of the reviewing site, and the administrative costs of producing each feature on our website.
Thank you. |
