Portfolio Reviews in Brasilia, Brazil: Foto Arte 2007

Foto Arte 2007 is a lively, well-established international photography conference, festival and series of seminars that attracts great talents and photography lovers from South America and from all over the world. As an important component of this event, photographers can meet there with well-respected photography professionals (international museum curators, gallerists, publishers), to show their portfolios during intense, scheduled formal reviews. Over a busy period of four days (October 18-21), these emerging and established photographers get creative feedback, constructive criticism, business advice — and hopefully an exhibition, gallery representation, or broad exposure through publications in print or on the web.

This year, Lens Culture is thrilled to be part of Foto Arte. If you are planning to attend, please stop by to say hello!

Hello Jim!

I´ve only recently came across your blog and, so far, found it filled up with wonderful things on photography. I´m an amateur photographer from Brazil and I have you on my top list for the Portfolio Reading Event, during the Brasília Fotoarte 2007. I´ve been to the 2005 edition as a voluntier, but by then, I was only starting on photography. Last year I couldn´t attend it since I was living for a little while in Montreal-QC, but on this year I hope to take all of it, and learn as much as I can. If you don´t mind, I´d like to invite you to visit my flickr, where, since january this year, I´ve been posting only my best pictures. I´d be thrilled with your advice or any sort of comment. Either way, I trully hope we can meet in a few weeks, during the Fotoarte. Till then, good shots!
Cheers!
