A bred in the bone desert rat, I moved from Tucson, AZ in 2000 to study photography at Parsons. Mostly I was just tired of being, you know, warm and comfortable most of the year, so I figured I'd give NY a shot. After nearly 20 years here I still love this city. This city where I have built a home and a community, and a space where I can play in the sandbox of my own mind. My studio is a space is as much a physical embodiment of my brain as any place could be. It’s a place to collect and store any random object that catches my fancy. It’s the space where I build my worlds, invite my collaborators to come play with me and it’s even large enough to sit 43 people at a single long table for Thanksgiving dinner. This is my home. This place has given me inspiration and drama and heartache and friendships I could never have dreamed of as that desert rat kid in the foothills of the Tucson mountains. I found it and I’m keeping it.
