I discovered photography when I was about ten years old during a short practice with the photograph of my village. Since then I have not stopped to photograph the world. With the years, I discovered that I see things differently from others people, which gave me confidence to carry on taking pictures and cultivate my passion for this art. I was not a professional until recently as I am a self-taught woman and I first dedicated to cultural studies. I lived abroad (Spain, England, Italy, Brazil and Madagascar) many years which enhanced my interest for people and their differences. Since then I followed some workshops where I learned to improve my technique. This year I am applying for a PHD in Photography and Circus, under the direction of Philippe Goudard, University Professor at the University Paul Valéry in Montpellier and assistant-director of the research program "Circus: history, imaginary, practices". My works on Brazilian and Mexican circus have already been presented at the University.
What I am looking for, is simply beauty. Beauty in humanism. Besides the fact that my work can carry anthropological issues, I consider myself as an artist above all. I wish to dedicate my life to extract the beauty of every person I encounter on my way and travel the world to keep learning about humans and life. I am especially interested in Circus because, as a translator, I discovered that the Circus is the privileged place of multiculturalism. And because, as a human, I found that in the Circus, the alterity is exacerbated. The artists are the others, those who are different, and I want to show that difference is richness and beauty.
