Alain Carayol was born in Saint-Malo (F). In the 1990s, he traveled to India by road. Promising him adventure and photographic practice, this country will not cease to attract him.
In 1997, still in India, finally amazed by the importance of religious ritual, he began work on this theme and published in 2000 the album "Mother Ganges". He multiplies stays in this country and equips himself with a moped. It then explores the subcontinent to the sound of the 4-stroke engine. He successively published "Malabar and Coromandel" in 2002, "Terre des Princes" in 2004.
But in 2009, the release of the book "50 000 kms across India by moped" allows to drive him to other projects and especially to break with the shape of images: find another language, other writings .
Then come the following themes that are in the course of work "With color for any luggage", "The sea is not another country" a work on man and the sea and "Saved Moments".
