Alan De la Rosa (born in Mexico City, 2000) is an artist and freelance fashion and product photographer based in Mexico City. He studied Photography at the Active School of Photography and Industrial Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He graduated from the photographic production seminar at the Center of the Image in 2023.
His work has been featured in the collective exhibition 'La Materia que se borra' at the Center of the Image in 2023, and he was also published in Balam Magazine issue No. 9 'Nuevas Masculinidades' in 2023, In 2024 he collaborated with the artist Samuel Guerrero for the advertising campaign for his perfumes.
His main theme is violence, aiming to overcome human divisions where violence coexists with the search for human connection. He challenges the idea of pacification as a way of life in this cannibalistic system, recognizing that violence is an inherent aspect of change and the human condition.
Alan has participated in various workshops and dialogues on photography in Mexico, including the dialogue table '¿Qué formación necesita hoy la producción fotográfica?' at the Center of the Image in 2023. He also participated in 'Micelio I', as part of the XIX Biennial of Photography of the Center of the Image in 2022, a Workshop led by photographer Fabiola Menchelli in 2022, and two diploma courses led by artist Érika Vitela at Immagini Galería in 2021.
