Aldís Ellertsdóttir Hof was born and raised in Iceland, currently based in Norrkoping, and holds a MFA from Umeå Art Academy of Fine Arts, 2007. She works with photo, performance, installation and video making. Her works are conceptual with austere expressions. In her works she triggers strenuous emotional reactions that demands to be resisted or reflected upon. She does this by analyzing and make visible solidified norms and gender stereotypes, for example the concerns facing the immigrant that tries to navigate through the integration process in Sweden.
