His career started in the newsroom of the ‘Quotidiano della Basilicata’ where he devoted his time to social features. As a photo reporter embedded in the Italian mission KFOR – Joint Enterprise he documented war damage in Kosovo. In Morocco, he worked in the Tadia-Azìai region to illustrate the social inclusion projects of an NGO. A grant from ‘Peacekeeping, international conflicts and civil war victims’ enabled him to study the migrant phenomenon.
He is currently working on ‘Migrants’, a long-term photographic project on the life of the migrants and all the aspects of migration.
Alessandro Zenti has been following the phenomenon of migration for over ten years with a photo-journalistic approach. Through his fieldwork, he provides photographic evidence of life in the makeshift camps of Boreano (PZ), Rignano Garganico (FG), Borgo Mezzanone (FG) and Nardò (LE). Zenti works with well-known Italian media such as Il Fatto Quotidiano, Mediaset, Fanpage and Radici.
