Alex Gale is a photography student in his third year at Falmouth University. His practice focuses on conceptual landscape and social documentary. He aims to represent the seemingly invisible aspects of our surroundings in a new light, characterising them and drawing attention to them. He has an acute sense of relationship with regards to objects and their surroundings and this allows the viewer to observe and understand these relationships in an individual and unique way.
He produces his work primarily using a Mamiya 7 and also a Hasselblad 503 with colour 120mm film. All images are processed, scanned and retouched by Alex himself.
