Alexander Robertson is a British photographer presently based in East London where he lives in a warehouse community that has been the subject of his latest work.
He has spent the last few years living in London but previously gained worldwide experience having spent several years working and travelling the world in places such as India, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
His introduction to photography developed from a filmmaking background which he transferred from moving to still image. Whilst being self taught as a photographer, Alexander has more recently completed an MA in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism in London. His course helped him refine his craft and understand how best to focus his gaze on the stories he wants to tell.
Alexander is interested in humanity and how people are perceived within society, his work will often explore our relationship with the nature of hope and loss.
