All of my adult life, I have lived to protect someone else. While serving U.S. Presidents, celebrities and private clients I traveled around the world - always quietly in the background, but, at times, photographing the world around us.
I started photography as a child, learning from my father who inspired and encouraged me to see the world through the lens. I grew up a Navy brat and during High School in Hawaii, I took courses in photography and the dark room, learning the technical skills of film photography. The tropical beauty of Hawaii gave me an appreciation for nature, which in turn, has driven me to explore other environments around the world.
As I have continued my hobby throughout my professional career, I have had the honor to photograph many locations; some public, others very private, and many a long way from home.
I have found myself exploring local areas and far-flung vistas, many wonderful and sometimes exotic locations; however, as an artist, I desire to convey the places, emotions and personal experiences via photographs. If these photographs have a mission, it is this: to capture and present rarely viewed scenes and environments in interesting ways.
