Amanda Schilling was born and raised in a rural town in Southeast Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2005 and completed her MFA in Photography at the University of Houston in the spring of 2019. Amanda pulls from her own life experiences making work primarily focused on the domestic and society's expectations of women within that realm. She currently resides in the suburbs of Houston, Texas with her husband and two children.
