Anikó Antalfi is a Hungarian fine art photographer born in Transylvania, based in Mexico City. She studied Hungarian literature in Cluj-Napoca, then graduated in Communication and Public Relations at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. After moving to Hungary worked in the Advertising and Communication field for several years. She discovered her interest in photography while on a journey to Mexico and couple of years later got a master’s degree in Photography at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest.
In her artistic practice she is focusing on themes such as intimacy, representations of the self, the very fragile passageway between private and public and the transitional states of life. Her works combine constructed images, performative elements and documentary techniques, where pictures are depiction of imagination and the camera is a tool of poetry.
