I like to say that I am a “anthro-photographer” combining my backgrounds in art and anthropology, fueled by a lifelong curiosity of the world around me , the people in it, and their stories. My lens is wide. I am drawn to the urban and industrial landscapes and to exploring the character and history, textures and mystery that these places hold. I also love environmental portraiture and have recently started to do documentary family photography. Whether I am photographing a flower in my backyard, an architectural detail, landscape or a sweet moment with a family I am aiming to compose a frame that is both familiar and unique, thought provoking and inspiring.
