When I started at Gloucestershire College, I had no conception how far I would progress with photography. I was lost with no future map, but I have found a direction. This year I have been assigned to photograph at LAKEFEST festival, providing commercial photography for the organisers. I have secured a job as a professional photographer working for a commercial studio in Gloucestershire. Photography at the college has been enjoyable and educational, I met a diverse range of people.
My main interest is portraiture, fashion and commercial photography. I’ve started to work on my own personal project, using different brands I’ve already got home, I think it is the easiest way to improve my skills and create nice memories of my family, and develop my portfolio.
My tutor offered me a great opportunity to get a job in a photography studio in Cheltenham. I know it is just a small step forward, but for me it is an excellent chance to achieve more in photography. My plan is to develop this further in the future, working freelance or to have my own studio.
I would like to evoke emotion in someone ranging from happiness to sadness, fantasy to truth. Photography is a great challenge and I’m up to it.
Learning gives more enjoyment.
