I have been photographing since I was very young, before the digital age. Always an introvert affair between me, my camera and the images I create. I don't have a formal education in photography, but I do work within the field of visual communication for a living.
I am aiming at making the best of it all with small, handy cameras - a little analogue Leica brought me a long way. Since 12 years I have had digital cameras and in addition my smartphone comes in handy in this same perspective. I do lay-out and make books (for private use) of some of my photos via www.blurb.com.
My first time ever, to enter a competition, was LensCulture Street Photography Awards 2017 and 2nd time in the same category 2018.
Thank you for encouraging me to enter last years Critics Choice Award - the expert feedback I received was a total game changer for me. I have since looked at myself, as a photographer, in fulfilling new and deeper ways and a flood of creativity and exploration of my relationship with camera and motives followed. I still extract nourishment from that source.....So in this context and for 2021 Critics Choice Award, it seems meaningful to share with you a self portrait.
