Annette is a photographer and filmmaker. Originally from Sweden, she grew up in Germany, and lives in New York’s Hudson Valley. Her personal work has been published and exhibited internationally; her films received numerous awards, including Best Short Film at Santa Barbara Intl. Film Festival and the Humanitarian Award at Cleveland Intl. Film Festival. She received a 2020 IPA Silver Award and won the 2020 Julia Margaret Cameron Award in the self-portrait category. Her most recent environmental portraits are exhibited in a group show at the Bowers Museum, CA.
Over the past decade, Annette taught documentary history at Vassar College and film production at Boston University. She graduated from Berlin University of the Arts, Germany, and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. At ICP in New York, Annette studied large format film photography with Richard Rothman.
