I was born in Sicily, in 1985. I entered into the photography world in 2013 when I moved to London. Living in a squat and its proximity to the activist scene, inspired me to take pictures portraying the struggle happening at the time.
In 2015 I moved to Barcelona to study a photography documentary postgraduate course at the IDEP school. There I started to collaborate with the independent media outlet La Directa. I also became part of the photography activist collective Krasnyi documenting social struggle and social movement in the Catalunya capital.
In 2019 I moved to Mexico where I have been documenting indigenous community and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in rural areas. From May 2021, I am in Bogotá, Colombia, reporting the national strike. I collaborate with the photo agency SOPA Images. I work with Natalia Torres (writer) and our reportage have been published in El Pais (Spain), ElSalto (Spain), New Internationalist (England), EarthIsland Journal (USA) and Toward Freedom (USA).
