I am a French-Canadian artist, awarded writer, and documentary photographer based in Virginia. I completed a Ph.D. in Literary Studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2015 (UQAM). Photography came to me as a beautiful accident in my late twenties. It became a serious form of art at the start of the year 2000, as a way to complement my first book of poems "Déjà la horde de chair se tait" (nominated for several literary prizes), which explores the extreme tenuousness and strength of women victims of domestic violence. Autodidact, I carried on complementing my literary and academic works with photography throughout the past decades and to this day.
