The World Photography Organisation named 45 photographers as shortlist finalists for the Professional, Open and Youth categories of the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards. These were selected as the best of 122,000 entries from 170 countries.
LensCulture is pleased to offer a high-resolution slideshow of all 45 shortlisted winners, which include professionals, students, hobbyists and emerging photographers.
One final winner in the Professional category will be awarded prizes of $25,000 (USD), and one winner in the Open category will receive $5,000 (USD). Final winners will be announced April 25.
77 award-winning photographs were selected from thousands of submissions. This year's judge was Jim Casper, editor of Lens Culture. The winning images were made by photographers in 24 countries around the world. The Awards are sponsored by.
