I was born in Sukhodilsk, a small miners' town in Eastern Ukraine, currently based in Graz, Austria. While pursuing my degree in translation and interpretation, I bought my first camera as a means to document my first trips outside Ukraine and look at things back home in a new way. Having moved to Austria, photography was a means of therapy and helped me fight loneliness and anxiety of being alone in a new country.
