Azumi Fukuoka is a lens-based artist capturing imperfect perfection moment by using human bodies, water in her neighborhood and daily life materials.
She was born and raised in Japan. From her late 20’s, she worked as a photojournalist to pursue truth which no one colorized.
In her private work, she has tackled projects about femininity, human reproduction problem and self-esteem issue. In 2018, she moved to New York, then graduated from The International Center of Photography. Since joining ICP, she have dedicated herself to analogue photography. Her works were exhibited in Korea, Japan and United States.
