Beth Galton is a photo-based artist, with an educational background in the natural sciences and 30 years of experience as a professional photographer in the editorial and commercial world. She graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelor’s in Studio Art. Her personal and professional work has been shown in galleries throughout the US and Europe. Most recently, her work has been shown at The Center for Fine Art Photography, the Center for Photographic Art, Beth Urdang Gallery and as part of ‘The Fence’ exhibit, a traveling outdoor exhibition shown in seven cities across the country. She was previously represented by Marlborough Gallery in NYC. Galton has given lectures on photography at various universities, including Syracuse University and SVA. She has received many awards, such as the Graphis Photography Gold Award, the Communication Arts Excellence Award, The Art Directors Club Merit and Bronze, and first place in the PDN Taste Awards, among others.
