Through the use of photography, video and site specific installations, my work references matters of safety and displacement within domestic space and national borders, as well as environmental concerns through the use of architecture and historical references.
Personal experiences as a woman, mother and an immigrant along with globalization elements add together to the scope of the work and create broad questions always seeking a singular tone. The choice of materials for the installations becomes an essential part of the work as well as the medium of photography and video as a question of the medium itself on the art world when documenting social and environmental issues.
