I have always believed that strong images should, by their nature, grow more powerful and durable over time. They should be able to hold their own against the popular fashions and trends of a few years, or a few decades. In1998 I refocused my attention on two major forces in my life - my family, and my private photographic journey. Creating personal images for an audience of one. Following this 20-year interlude (and coinciding with my retirement) I feel like Rip Van Winkle, pleasantly surprised by the changes that have occurred, and the countless new photographic resources now available to me, including: easier access to like-minded folks and talented, inspiring artists; excellent histories and knowledgeable, insightful reviews; and of course, the vast quantity of world-class photo venues now available on the Internet. Like Alice in Wonderland, I look forward with much excitement and slight trepidation to placing my work (past, present, and future) into this ever expanding and vibrant arena.
