I was born and raised in a crofting community in the far north of Scotland. I have traveled, worked and photographed around the world for over 20 years. During this time I taught myself how to use a camera and with a lot of practice I think I learnt how to take better images. I am often drawn to places where, as people, we have left our mark on the landscape. Lately, I have been trying to capture portraits of this human endeavour in an attempt to capture our relationship with the environment.
