A German-English Artist-Photographer; originally from Cologne, Germany; with a social-political but also storytelling-poetic approach, sometimes theatrical, performative & dramatic. I have a thirst for uncovering the interconnectedness of human actions and their beliefs.
My true location is international with work permits for the US, UK & Europe:
My library and Studio are in North-West England, my parents in Germany and my Glass-making partner and possible future life are in California.
And last but not least a piece of me is respectfully dedicated to South-East Asia.
I am currently in the process of redefining my practice and focus. January 2016 I was invited as Artist in Residence in Fiskars, Finland, a time I used for project development.
I am currently developing 2 projects: #1 A Fine Art & photography project in which I re-imagine the narrative of Rapunzel. I am interested in youth & aging; using hair as signifiers of strength and simultaneously place in society across cultures. This project will manifest as photographic etching prints to blur the boundaries between past and present image making processes.
#2 the continuation of exploring ritual and choreographic elements in devotional practices. This will be a film & photography project, culminating hopefully in a performance solution.
