My name is Zou Biyu, born in 1985 in Guilin, China, Bachelor of Economics, acted as a freelance photographer since 2010 and served Sina, the largest Web Media in China, as a photojournalist from 2013 to 2016. In January 2017, I quit media job to become a freelance photographer in order to spend more time for the long-term project in future.
In his 6 years of working on photography, my works have been published by major media of China. In addition, I participated in the workshops of Magnum and VII. In terms of awards, I was recognized as the New Talent award of China and won several other report photography awards. In recent years, my works have been put on display at China’s major photography festivals and nominated as Abigail Cohen projects of the Magnum Foundation in 2016.
