I was born and raised in a small town in Rhode Island. Growing up I always had a curiosity for art. It wasn't until high school that I had a strong interest in photography primarily portrait photography. After graduating from high school I started to seek out for more opportunities in larger cities. This is when I applied for and attended Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. MassArt has allowed me to foster and hone into my skills of photography for example ideas that were brought out such as race, ethnicity, culture and coming from an immigrant family. While on the other hand I also work closely to generate commercial work such as fashion photography and things like street wear. Furthermore, I identify myself as a Laotian-American artist who is expanding the medium to capture various generational narratives, their relationships, and the customary yet transformative notions of home.
