I have been in love with photography from the moment I developed my first black and white image. My college education was primarily focused on advertising, allowing me to explore all forms of creative media, but I was always pulled back towards photography, never considering a possible full-time career. Instead, I was on track for a promising career in advertising, graduating College with two BA's and attending Westerdals School of Communications in Oslo, Norway. This was all interrupted by addiction. I hit rock bottom, was lost, homeless and hopeless, and I eventually got clean and sober. After learning how to live again, I rediscovered my passion for photography and a fire was ignited. I found it was an escape, a way to explore the world, studying every detail of the simple things. It gave me an opportunity to find beauty in unexpected places and in all walks of life. I could challenge myself and push the bounds of my comfort zone, enabling me to grow as a person and as an artist.
