Brian Dean graduated from Bard college in 2007 and received his Masters of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2015.
Following his education at Bard college Brian worked with Larry Fink as his Lab Manager. He has worked with many photographers since including Richard Misrach, Tim Davis, Marco Breuer and Ed Eckstein.
All the while Brian has been shooting on his own and traveling by foot. He has completed two long distance trails and projects to go with them and is working on a third. The first was the Camino de Santiago, an 800 mile trek through France and Spain. Then he completed the Appalachian Trail, a footpath from Georgia to Maine. Currently he is working on a project of the Bay Trail, a path that circumnavigates the San Francisco Bay.
