I was a fly fishing guide for 15 years in Bozeman, MT before I owned my first camera. In 2005 my wife and I were asked to write a fly fishing guide book about Montana, and the photo budget was so low we weren't able to buy photos from professional photographers. On a whim, I bought a camera and two lenses and started taking shots on my own. By the time the book was published, I had a handful of magazine covers and a new found passion that turned into my career. My work focuses on active outdoor and lifestyle photography. I work with such clients as Yeti, Orvis, Simms Fishing Products, Costa, Mossy Oak, Canadian Tire, and Shimano. I am a regular contributor to Field and Stream and a contributing editor to Grays Sporting Journal. My work has appeared in Outside, Sunset Magazine, Saltwater Sportsman, The Fly Fish Journal, Covey Rise, American Angler, Outdoor Life, and many other sporting publications.
