About Carlos Duque

Carlos Duque
He studied drawing and painting at the School of Fine Arts in Cali between 1966 and 1968.
He studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California between 1969 and 1971.
His work practice has been primarily as creative director for major advertising agencies in Colombia.
The professional experience of Carlos Duque focuses on three areas of communication: advertising creation, graphic design, and development of public and political image.
Since 1996, Duque has complemented his professional activity with the practice of photography, developing projects for magazines such as Cromos, Diners, SOHO, Caras and Jet Set. And for Semana Magazine and El Tiempo the local Newspaper, he published a photo column called “Photosynthesis”.
Portrait is one of his favorite subjects.
Carlos Duque has given many talks and workshops on topics of graphic design, photography and political communication at various universities in the country and abroad.
