Carolina Cardich (Lima 1979) lives and works in Lima. She studied Ecology at the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (Lima) and the Master in Research in Art and Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid.
Photographer selected in Trasaltlántica Festival Photo Spain Lima in 2016, while in 2015 she was a finalist of the Ibero American Nexofoto competition in Madrid. During the year 2014 she receives the Third National Prize of Photography from North American Peruvian Cultural Institute ICPNA in the II Biennial of Photography in Lima; she obtained an Honorable Mention in the International Festival of Photography Paraty on Focus in Rio de Janeiro, she got Finalist in The Repsol Lima Photo Constest and was selected to participate in the project Recent Trajectories in Theory and Practice Contemporary Art directed by Max Hernández Calvo and Gallery Wu in Lima.
In 2013 she was selected in the International Photography Festival Photoespaña Discoveries Contest and got be finalist in the contest Roberto Villagraz EFTI School in Madrid. In the same year her L’animot Project was selected to be part of the Symposium Being Beyond Boundaries: Dissolving (species) Hierarchy in Contemporary Culture at Kingstom University in London.
Her work has been exhibited individually in Lima and in collective exhibitions in Madrid, Valencia, London, Lima, California, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá and Cuba.
Currently she divides her time between personal photographic projects and her work as a photography professor at the Peruvian University UPC.
