Carolina Fuentes (Mexico, b. 1977) is an artist and photographer who received her bachelor's degree in Graphic Design in 1998. The same year she studied with Maurizio Berlincioni in Florence, Italy, and also was his assistant. Since then, she has devoted herself to photography.
Her photographic projects are mainly focused on landscape, and its multiple variations, wich she discovers during trips and personal journeys. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions and has twice been awarded the Stimulus Program for Creation and Artistic Development by the National Council for Culture and Arts in Mexico.
She was invited to participate in PICS: Plataforma de Imágenes Contemporáneas (Contemporary Images Platform), a project from the Centro de la Imagen (Center of the Image) which shows an overview of emerging and contemporary photography in Mexico.
Carolina is currently living in Queretaro, Mexico, and working on her photographic projects and series.
