Caroline Gutman is a freelance photojournalist and writer based in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Her work looks at stories reflecting policy, gender and economic inequality and art and cultural innovation.
Previously she was a Fulbright fellow in Kunming, China, where she photographed indigenous women artisans and other stories.
Her work has been featured by The Washington Post, NPR, Buzzfeed News, ProPublica, CNN, Vice, British Airways, Apple and elsewhere. She was named one of 30 Under 30 Women Photographers in 2017 by Photoboite and is a member of Women Photograph, NPPA and ASMP.
