About Cassia Tabatini

Started taking pictures in the late 90s in Sao Paulo as a teenager, of alternative local bands, then moved to London, with a graphic design degree where she improved her skill in photography. Moving back to Brazil she founded an independent publication focused on documentary photography of youth, and also a photo gallery under the same name. She had the opportunity to work with international important brands such as Burberry, Courreges, Nike and a few others to mention.

Working widely with many media such as arts, music, fashion and documentation.. In the early days of her career in London, she was named Young Talent in photography by Vogue uk and worked as photo and journalist of Vice Uk. Nowadays she publishes her work in magazines : Vogue, Bazaar, GQ, Marie Claire, LOfficiel , Elle France And to independent publications as well.

She has published and exhibited her work across Europe and Brazil, represented by Extinguish Parisian Gallery, ( More than a gallery) and later independently collaborating with renowned Brazilian artist and curators Kiki Mazzucchelli in Kingsgate Art Space and Pablo Leon de la Barra in her first photo book: The nude Project. She organised a solo show at Carpintaria RJ and Casa Triângulo SP, and also a project in Paris with Ban.
Residing in Belgrade as well as doing research on the youth culture of locals, which became a series later.
