Caterina Suzzi is an italian freelance photographer based in France.
After obtaining a Master's degree in Arts and Cinema at the University of Milan, she moved to Paris in 2005 where she trained at Magnum, an experience that had a profound influence on her work.
Within the Images Sensibles collective, she shot portraits of residents for a project about her neighbourhood, La Goutte d'Or, before to extend it to other Parisian suburb (93). This work is still in progress thanks to the interest and support of various municipalities and social lenders.
She moved to Brazil in 2015 where she worked for an Italian news agency and found many sources of inspiration for her personal series.
Back in France in 2018, she settled near Nice. In addition to corporate and press commissions, she started a long term project about Italian producers.
Committed to women's rights, she’s also collaborating with the Italian NGO AIDOS.
Her work is actually distributed by the French agency Hans Lucas.
