I have been photographing since my retirement and after several courses in Paris and Amsterdam, I turned to the contemporary photography. I am looking for a balance in light, shadow, surfaces and lines. I simplify and limit the performance to the essentials for the right composition.
The greatness of my home, a watermill on the river Meuse, provides a solid foundation. Combine that with a body that is characterized by the years that lie behind me, and new images emerge. I'm working from my studio at home, using my own body to create new images, new experiences.
Images in which old age is allowed, but not required.
Images in which the world is reduced to its essence.
A world that takes the viewer to the mystery behind age, and it asks the viewer to look beyond what is seen.
