Catherine Canac-Marquis is a photographer and visual artist born in Quebec City, now living and working in Montreal. She holds a BFA in Photography from Concordia University and was recently artist-in-residence at SÍM Residency in Reykjavík, Iceland. She is a selected finalist for Flash Forward’s 2017 emerging photography competition, and a recipient of the AIMIA | AGO Photography Prize Scholarship. Her work has been shown in national and international venues, and recently included in Proof 24, Gallery 44's emerging photo-based artist exhibition in Toronto. Her work has also been featured in publications such as Flash Forward and Ain’t Bad Magazine.
