After working in the fashion industry for many years in Canada, Catherine is now back in her native island, Mauritius. This return to her roots has prompted her to pick up her passion for photography and eventually making a living out of it. Mostly she tries to capture the essence of the Mauritian heritage and its lush nature. Her photography is spontaneous and intuitive reflecting her love of nature and her apprehension for the rapid urbanisation and the loss of the beautiful nature around the island. She uses her photography to pledge for a better respect for nature.
