Cecilia Borgenstam is a Swedish-born artist based in San Francisco.
In 2015 she received her MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute.
Her work has been exhibited in shows nationwide and has been the juror's selection in exhibitions by Ann Jastrab, Laura Valenti, Jack Fulton, Stephen Perloff and Millee Tibbs. She was awarded 3rd place in the Paul Sack Building competition in 2014 and an honorable mention in 2015.
She currently works as a Studio Manager for Richard Misrach.
Cecilia’s work relates to her intimate relationship with landscape, domesticity and the inherent sentimentality of photographic images. Her current work explores the impermanence of possessions in Golden Gate Parks transient camps.
