While a finance major at The University of Texas at Austin, Charles got the opportunity to travel to Bolivia to shoot for the service organization “Amigos de Las Americas”. The assignment sent him to the small mountain villages around Cochabamba. There he reinforced his love of photographing the everyday flow of life from the mundane to the humorous. After graduating from UT, he realized his heart was in photography, which led him to attend Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After graduating from Art Center, Charles eventually found his way to New York City where he was a fashion and portrait photographer. His work appeared in Rolling Stone, Vogue, GQ and elsewhere. Charles eventually returned to Texas, where he now lives and works. He always has his camera at hand to capture the diverse cultures he encounters.
