Having travelled vastly in my childhood due to my parents' business, I was inadvertently trained to be an observer. I’ve learned to understand the uniqueness of various cultures and appreciate diversity. The camera was not only a tool to document my experiences, but also to preserve my memory of the people and places I had left behind.
Growing up as an immigrant in Southern California, I struggled with self-identity. My body of work focuses greatly on the topic of “self” and explores the meaning and purpose of life. I wish, by using photography as a medium, I could connect the world with humanity and lead mankind towards a future filled with love and compassion.
