When I was about 12 or 13 years old my dad built a darkroom for me in the woodshed out behind our house in Mableton Georgia. I equipped it with a kit I purchased from a local camera store. The only prints I could make at first were contact prints. During High School, I worked as the staff photographer on the yearbook and I also helped with the yearbook at my summer job, Six Flags Over Georgia. I studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta under the guide of photographers such as Dennis Darling. During my college years, I worked for studios shooting wedding events, the Miss National Teenager Pageant and doing some freelance photography for the AP. After college, I worked at Meisel Photochrome and Meteor Photo in Atlanta as a printer, photo composition technician and digital comp technician through these shops I have been blessed with meeting and talking to many artists in the southeast.
