I grew up in Texas where I spent my early years in my grandparents studio watching them paint and create. I credits my grandparents for encouraging me to visually explore, question and ponder the world around me. In my early teens I was given my first camera and have been photographing my life, experiences and travel ever since. I also enjoy glass fusing as well as designing and creating light fixtures, candles, and a variety of other items from up-cycled bottles and materials. My first love however, is photography and I would classify my work as fine art, documentary and “slice of life”.
I holds a B.A. in Photo-communications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and earned my Masters in Art Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Following my education I taught photography and art in Houston, Texas and Reston, Virginia. I have had photos published, been selected for juried shows and have been shown locally and regionally.
