I have been photographing for many years but took a long break after high school when school, career and family building took precedence.
Back in 2012 I again picked up my camera and this time with a lot more purpose. While I enjoy different types of photography and subject matters, what I most enjoy are telling people's stories through impactful, engaging portraits - be it on the street, in a store or at the studio.
I became a full-time, professional photographer in 2014, with a passion also for personal projects such as my "People with Purpose" portrait series - documenting people who in their various ways contribute to our community.
In 2017 I published my first book - "The Fabric of Raleigh/The Fabric of Durham" - documenting the fabric of our community through my lens.
