I'm a British photographer from Liverpool, living in London.
I've a long term project I've been working on since 2009 about the Faroe Islands and the changes facing the culture of the islands, but also the changes between generations and how new opportunities available to the young are shaping the modern Faroe Islands. It's also a personal and reflective piece as my grandfather came from the Faroes and settled in the UK.
I also write and draw as part of my practice. I studied geography and this has influenced my creative work. I have ongoing interests in the natural world, people and ways of understanding place.
I've been working as a freelance photographer since my early 20's. I've also worked a lot with vulnerable adults and the homeless.
As well as this I've also an interest in the creative and social capacity of community work, especially in relation to those who have been excluded from mainstream education.
